Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle have been best of friends and the two never leave a chance when it comes to sharing about the beautiful relationship that they share.

As we all know, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, is expecting her first child with husband Prince Harry and her baby shower was recently hosted by her close pals in New York City.

The celebration was held at the Mark Hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and was attended by many stars including Serena Williams, Abigail Spencer and Amal Clooney among others.

However, the one important name that was missing from the festivities was of Meghan's BFF, Priyanka Chopra.

A report in TMZ has revealed that PeeCee couldn't attend Meghan's star-studded bash because of her prior work commitment. She was tied up with the meetings for a book that she is writing. Following which she had to skip the baby shower of her bestie.

The report further revealed that Priyanka's absence hasn't hampered the equation she shared with the Duchess. The two remain to be the best of pals.

Close sources have told TMZ that they still speak with each other on a regular basis and their friendship hasn't changed.

"You know when you meet someone and you just click?" Meghan told the Press Trust of India. She further said, "It was just an easy, natural progression. We've managed to keep in touch via email and text, and try to see each other whenever we're both in the same town."
