During an episode of Bigg Boss OTT 2, Pooja Bhatt shared a deeply personal account of her divorce from Manish Makhija after 11 years of marriage. She described the separation as a difficult period in her life, explaining that she reached a point where she could no longer ignore the fact that the relationship was not fulfilling her. While acknowledging that her ex-husband was not a bad person, she felt her own identity was fading within the marriage.

In an attempt to cope with the emotional turmoil, Pooja turned to alcohol, believing it would help her rediscover herself. However, she soon realized that alcohol was only hindering her personal growth and exacerbating her feelings of self-loss. Despite the challenging experience, Pooja shared that she ultimately fought her way through this difficult phase and emerged stronger.

Pooja Bhatt is currently in the news following a statement made by her brother, Rahul Bhatt, comparing her to their step-sister Alia Bhatt. In an interview with Pinkvilla's Hindi Rush, Rahul expressed his belief that Alia's talent pales in comparison to Pooja's.

Rahul shared, "In my opinion, she is not even half of what my real sister Pooja is, not in talent, not in looks, not in terms of being sexy. In front of my sister, she is ‘paani kam chai (not as good)’. This is my personal opinion. If you ask, amongst all our siblings, who is the most talented, the most moralistic, it is Pooja."

Pooja Bhatt's participation in Bigg Boss OTT 2, hosted by Salman Khan, saw her emerge as one of the finalists.
