Vignesh Shivan Shuts Down His X Account Amid Nayanthara's Legal Feud With Dhanush

Vignesh Shivan has gone ahead and deactivated his X (previously known as Twitter) account without any explanation. Despite this move, he remains active on Instagram.

Amid their legal clash with Dhanush, Vignesh, who is married to Nayanthara, has deactivated his X handle. On November 16, Nayanthara wrote a scathing open letter to the Tamil actor, criticizing him for denying permission to use content from their 2015 movie 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' in her documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.

During the production of her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara requested Dhanush's approval to include scenes from their 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Regrettably, Dhanush declined her request and countered with a legal notice, insisting on Rs 10 crore as compensation.

“This is an all-time low from you and speaks so much about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans but clearly you do not practice what you preach, at least not for me and my partner," a part of her post read.

Following the conflict, Dhanush proceeded to initiate a civil lawsuit in the Madras High Court against Nayanthara, her spouse Vignesh Shivan, and Netflix regarding the unauthorized content in the couple's Netflix documentary sourced from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, a film he was involved in producing.

Vignesh Shivan, the director of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, stood by the Lady Superstar by posting the contentious BTS clip on his Instagram story. He ridiculed Dhanush's legal notice in a show of support for Nayanthara.
