According to buzz, Vidya was really eager to be cast opposite Mr. Haasan, however, she inevitably found herself helpless owing to her fully packed schedule with her two upcoming Bollywood releases - Dirty Picture and Kahaani.

Kamal Haasan's Viswaroopam is said to be inspired from Tom Cruise's highly successful Mission Impossible series, and is anticipated to be the costliest Indian film made till date. The superstar himself will produce and direct the movie which would be yet another trilingual, to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Earlier there were speculations of the movie being inspired from Hannibal, but those rumors have been now deemed false. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha in a significant role.
