David Dhawan was recently hospitalized in Mumbai because of his diabetes. He was transported to the hospital for treatment since he has advanced-stage diabetes and his health has been declining. This was not the first time that David was admitted to the hospital. Earlier as well, the director was taken to the hospital for the same. The filmmaker is now doing well and recovering at home after returning back from the hospital.

Now, Varun Dhawan opened up about his father being hospitalized and said, "My Dad is well-liked by everyone, and he is now back at home. While it might be challenging to work while your father is unwell, my father will always want me to fulfill my obligations. At this time, he is healing well at home."

It was also said that Varun had stopped promoting his forthcoming movie, JugJugg Jeeyo, to take care of his father. Varun had previously shared a video with David performing the hook step of The Punjaabban Song from his family-drama film, JugJugg Jeeyo.

Talking about the work front, Varun Dhawan will soon be seen in the film ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’. Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Maniesh Paul will be seen alongside Varun in this film. While there will be romance in the film, it is said to be a family entertainer. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film is scheduled to release on 24 June 2022.
