Varun Dhawan: I need this film (October) the most in my career today

Dhawan will be seen in Shoojit Sircar's 'October' which is an intriguing tale of Love. The actor also revealed that he chased Sircar for this project.

Undoubtedly, Varun Dhawan is one of the most successful and loved actor of Bollywood. With a career span of mere 6 years, Dhawan is the only actor who has never tasted failure and has given 9 successful films to the cinema.

But, above all, Varun is known to try out new genres and his upcoming film 'October' helmed by ace filmmaker Shoojit Sircar can be an example of the same. Varun will be playing the character of Dan, a hotel management student in October which is touted as an intense romantic drama film.

Varun with Shoojit Sircar, a debutant, and co-star Bandita Sadhu unveiled the trailer of October today here in the city. While at the launch, Varun expressed that how this film has touched his heart. He stated, "When Shoojit Da narrated this film to me and explained why he wants to make this film, I was so moved that I felt forget everything, I need this film. I am saying this today, No matter what people might think, of all the people here, I need this film the most in my career today, more than anyone else".

Amidst the interactions, Varun was also asked if this film was a risky choice given that he was a part of all Blockbuster films till now. To which he responded saying, "I always look at films like this a good film or a bad film. I don't believe that this is a big film and cost of production will be high so it will earn huge. It is always a story, I always look that the people I work with, how much of them are they putting into a particular film".

"Certainly, I can tell that Shoojit da and Juhi Chaturvedi has put everything they could, their personal experiences their love, their passion for cinema into this film. I was cast last in the movie, first Banita was cast then I was cast and that is how it should be. It shouldn't be like a person should be cast just because his movies are working. He cast me into this film before Badrinath Ki Dulhania or Judwaa 2 released. I literally chased him like I earlier stated", Varun further added.

October is slated to release on 14^th April 2018.
