Uorfi Javed receives congratulations from Samay Raina via video call after winning The Traitors

Following Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther's victory in the first season of The Traitors India, social media erupted with congratulatory messages. Among those celebrating was Uorfi's friend, stand-up comedian Samay Raina, who shared a heartfelt message. He posted a screenshot of their video call, praising Uorfi's triumph in the reality show.

On Friday, Samay Raina shared a screenshot on his Instagram stories of a video call with his friend Uorfi Javed after her victory on The Traitors. Both appeared joyful, with Uorfi laughing at something Samay said. Samay wrote, "Congratulations @urf7i on winning some reality show," accompanied by a red heart emoji. Uorfi reposted his story, expressing her gratitude with, "Thank you dost @maisamayhoon."

Uorfi Javed and Samay Raina share a close bond, with Uorfi having appeared on Samay's comedy show, India's Got Latent, last year. She made headlines when she walked out of the show after a contestant made abusive comments towards her.

Amidst the India’s Got Latent controversy, she also showed her support for Samay, and wrote, “You don’t like certain people, you don’t like the things that they do or say but demanding for them to go to jail for that? Are you serious? Ummmm! I don’t know. Samay is a friend, I have his back but even rest of the people on the panel, what they said was distasteful yes but I don’t think they deserve to go to jail for that."

Following her victory on The Traitors, Uorfi posted an emotional message on Instagram, reflecting on her journey from losing Bigg Boss OTT to her current win.

From losing big boss (being the first one to be eliminated) to winning the traitors . The journey wasn’t easy , how many times I’ve cried , I’ve had so many breakdowns , wanted to give up , wanted to leave everything and run away . Being called names , getting death , rape threats , the online hate , the offline hate but I never stopped, she wrote.

She further added, May be the universe knew I needed this. When I lost Big boss I thought he lost my last chance at success or at having a good life , had taken udhaar from friends to get clothes to wear on big boss . At that time I didn’t even know if I would be ever be able to repay that udhaar. People have always doubted me , even right now but this still won’t stop me . The hate never has , never will stop me . I took out 3 traitors , that can’t be luck . Till the last moment I didn’t give up . Strategised.
