‘R’ word, & slurs: Uorfi fights back trolls questioning 'The Traitors' win; says, "hate never stopped me"

Reality TV’s most twisted game, The Traitors, ended with a bang and a bold winner. Uorfi Javed, who has always been in the limelight for her daring fashion choices and unfiltered opinions, walked away with the trophy and prize money alongside co-winner Nikita Luther. But even victory couldn’t shield her from the storm of hate that followed.

Contestants like Maheep Kapoor, Raj Kundra, Raftaar, Jannat Zubair, Karan Kundra, and Ashish Vidyarthi competed fiercely, but it was Uorfi and Nikita, the ‘faithfuls’, who outwitted ‘traitors’ Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha in the finale.

Despite playing a clever, clean game and emerging as the winner, Uorfi became the target of intense trolling. Many fans of the show took to her DMs, spewing hateful abuse over the outcome. This time, it wasn’t about her clothes; it was simply because she won. In a brave move, Uorfi shared screenshots of some of the vulgar messages on her Instagram, along with a powerful message calling out the hypocrisy.

“When you don’t like something a girl does, just drop the ‘R’ word,” she wrote. “Not the first time I’ve been threatened or abused like this, but this time it’s not because of my clothes but because I won a show. Imagine being so petty.”

She also highlighted the double standards people throw at her, whether she saves someone, betrays someone, or just plays the game. “No matter what I do, people just love hating and abusing,” she added. “Hate has never stopped me before, it never will now.”

Her close friends and co-contestants, including Purav Jha and Arijit Taneja, came out in support of her, calling her “a queen” and reminding her that hate cannot dim her shine.

In a symbolic post, Uorfi also shared a transition video, juxtaposing her Bigg Boss elimination with her victory moment on The Traitors, proving once again that comebacks speak louder than criticism. Uorfi Javed may have been the most controversial name in the house, but she’s now also the most victorious.
