Purav Jha QUESTIONS Uorfi Javed 'overhearing' his conversation with Harsh Gujral: 'Itna dheere baat kar ne..'

Purav Jha, taking to his Instagram handle, shared a few pictures of him crying, and thanked all his fans for their love for his stint on 'The Traitors.' He also went ahead to question the truth behind Uorfi 'over hearing' his conversation with Harsh.

Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther were declared the joint winners of The Traitors India in the season finale that aired last night on Prime Video. Playing as “Innocents,” both correctly identified and eliminated the remaining Traitors in the final round, winning the game and splitting the ?70.5 lakh prize. In a decisive moment, Uorfi overheard a quiet conversation between the Traitors, which directly led to their exposure and elimination.

The show, hosted by Karan Johar, is the Indian adaptation of the Dutch reality format De Verraders. Set in Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, it featured 20 celebrity contestants including actors, comedians and influencers. A few were secretly assigned the role of “Traitors,” while the rest were “Innocents” tasked with detecting and voting them out. The season concluded with Purav Jha and Harsh Gujral as the final Traitors, both of whom were voted out after being exposed.

Shortly after the finale aired, Purav Jha posted on Instagram reflecting on the result. He shared photos of himself crying on a flight and wrote about the messages he received from viewers. His caption read: I was crying last night in the flight not just because I didn’t win… bhyiii mene jo aapke texts dekhe DM me… ufffff. Like legit kuch log mere lie ro rahe ki aap kyu nahe jeete…O hello cuties me jeet gaya… isse zyda aur kya chaiye mujhe…

However, the post wasn’t all gratitude. In classic Purav style, it carried a sly undercurrent of sarcasm. Without naming Uorfi directly, he appeared to question the twist that led to her victory in the final moments: I really don’t know itne dheere baat karne par bhe kya fucked up hua last ke 10?min me… Ki samne wale ne sun lia…

This cryptic line refers to the pivotal scene where Uorfi reportedly overheard a low-key conversation between the Traitors, which led her to correctly identify Purav as one of them. That moment flipped the outcome in her favor—and possibly changed the game’s trajectory in the very last leg.

Despite losing the game, Purav’s post reflected humility and warmth. He congratulated the winning team and ended his caption with: “Thank you again. Maybe I failed as a Traitor but your love made me a winner ??.”

The finale, though marked by a win for Uorfi and Nikita, was not without controversy. Social media was flooded with reactions, with many praising Nikita’s calm strategy while others criticized Uorfi’s win as undeserved or too dependent on a last minute twist. Uorfi in particular faced a wave of online hate, including threats, prompting Purav and others to urge fans to respond with maturity.

The show maintained its promise of tense gameplay, shifting dynamics, and emotionally charged decisions. With its unpredictable ending and a cast that kept viewers engaged, The Traitors India closed its first season with a conclusion that sparked ongoing discussion. And for Purav Jha, while he did not take home the trophy, he left the show with strong public support from an audience that considered him a winner in their eyes.
