Uorfi Javed draws a line after Apoorva Mukhija’s jibe on 'The Traitors': 'Hum same level pe toh nahi hai'

The reality show The Traitors, which premiered on June 12, is already stirring controversy with a brewing feud between social media personalities Uorfi Javed and Apoorva Mukhija. What began as a friendly bond in the early episodes has now spiralled into a public fallout.

The tension reportedly started after a task when Apoorva became emotional and distanced herself to find some personal space. Uorfi, noticing her tears, kept questioning her, which led Apoorva to ask for privacy. This moment sparked a strong reaction from Uorfi, who later told fellow contestant Jannat Zubair, “She is not at the same level as I am. She needs to respect me.”

Following this, Apoorva took to social media and posted a clip from the show with a pointed caption: “gotta give it to urfi hum same level pe toh nahi hai.” Her sarcasm clearly targeted Uorfi’s earlier comment.

Uorfi didn’t hold back. Reacting to the video, she wrote, “Not at the same level cause mai is ladki ki tarah battameez nahin hu :) Agar battameezi cool hai toh mujhe nahi banna cool gang ka part!” This statement further fuelled the conflict, drawing attention across online platforms.

The incident has prompted sharp conversations among fans. During a conversation with Sufi Motiwala, Jasmine Bhasin, and Jannat Zubair, Uorfi reinforced her stance, saying, “Aap mere se junior ho kaam mei aur har chiz mei. Aap same level pe nahi ho. Bahar dikhoge ne, mai muu na lagau.”

Uorfi’s remarks have drawn criticism for their tone, while others have backed her for standing up for what she believes is respect. The two have now mutually agreed not to speak with one another inside the house.
