Uorfi Javed claims she’ll never pick Apoorva Mukhija’s calls: 'There’s nothing to be fixed there…'

The public feud between Uorfi Javed and Apoorva Mukhija on The Traitors has ignited a firestorm of discussion across social media platforms. Following the on-screen drama, Uorfi revealed that she has been receiving hateful messages and threats from fans of The Rebel Kid. The conflict stems from a fractured bond, as the two initially formed a "sister code" pact at the start of the reality series.

However, the alliance crumbled dramatically. The breaking point came when Uorfi noticed Apoorva in tears and inquired about the reason, leading to a heated exchange. A YouTube video released by Apoorva further fueled the controversy, in which she alleged that Uorfi had unleashed a verbal tirade off-camera, confirming her worst fears about their relationship.

Apoorva Mukhija accused Uorfi of making her feel like an imposter, and later suggested in an interview that Uorfi's behavior was influenced by social status, implying that she wouldn't have acted the same way towards someone like Maheep Kapoor.

In response to these claims, Uorfi provided her perspective in an interview with News18 Showsha. "If Maheep would’ve misbehaved with me or had a showdown with me, I would’ve told her too ki aukaat mein raho apni. I wouldn’t have kept quiet. I’m very impulsive. Mere muh se kuch bhi nikal jaata hai gusse mein. Aisa nahi hai ki maine uska level dekh ke yeh sab kuch bola."

Uorfi has clarified that while she doesn't hold any ill will towards Apoorva, she firmly believes that a friendship between them is not possible. "I don’t think I’ll ever pick up the phone on her. I know that she also will never call me. There are so many people in the world. Woh mujhe hi kyun call karegi? There’s nothing to be fixed there. Only those relationships can be fixed where there’s history. It’s not like there was a background of friendship between me and her," she remarks.

Uorfi further continues, “She was never my friend. I knew her as an acquaintance. We had met before The Traitors. She had come for the premiere of my show, Follow Kar Lo Yaar. We did speak a few times. I always thought that she was a chilled-out person. But show mein aake humaari baat nahi bani. Apoorva and I had a fight and it was she who had started misbehaving with me. In reaction, I ended up telling her a lot of things, which may have crossed the line."

Uorfi says that sometimes two people don't get along, and that's okay. She doesn't harbor any major animosity towards Apoorva. She feels Apoorva is too young, and she is much older. Whatever happened on the reality show has passed. There's no friendship between them, but also no enmity from her side. She wishes Apoorva all the best.

Reacting to Jasmine Bhasin's comments about the behavior of Apoorva and Sufi Motiwala, Uorfi says that everyone is different. She notes that when you're young, there's a strong passion, and you tend to react if someone says something you don't like. She admits to having done the same in the past, having fought and spoken out, but says she's moved past that now.
