Twinkle Arora locked to replace Hiba Nawab in 'Jhanak'

With several names being speculated to essay the new female lead, a new media report suggests that Udaariyan fame Twinkle Arora has been confirmed to essay the new female lead of the show. As per a report in the Downtown Mirror, Twinkle Arora has been roped in to replace Hiba Nawab as the new female lead. A source close to the production house tells the portal, ''Yes, after evaluating several options, the team finalised Twinkle Arora. She fits the role perfectly and brings the right energy for the narrative ahead. We also tried to finalise Shakti Arora for the new male lead, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out due to creative differences.”

Earlier, Shiny Doshi and Erica Fernandes were also approached to essay the female lead of the show and to replace Hiba Nawab. However, it is now confirmed that Twinkle and Riya will be carrying the show ahead.

Shiny, who had confirmed being approached for Jhanak, said that she rejected the show because she preferred taking up a new show instead of a show that is heading for a leap. In an exclusive chat with India Forums, the actress said, ''Yes, I had been approached. You know how casting calls are. I am not taking it up and I have refused because I do not want to be a part of a show which is heading for a leap and then a new story is launched. I rather wait for something fresh to come my way.''
