Throwback to when Ranbir Kapoor recalled finding 'Rahat' in calling Raha 20 times in a day during his work

During the promotional period for "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar," Ranbir Kapoor offered a glimpse into his emotional life as a new father. In an interview with Bollywood Now, the actor spoke candidly about how much he missed his daughter, Raha, while he was away from home for work.

I miss her a lot. A lot. At least 20 baar toh ho jata hai aaram se (video call) (I miss her a lot. A lot. I easily end up video calling her at least 20 times)

He further shared, “Iske pehle bhi main promotions ke pehle Delhi mein shoot kar raha tha, jab bhi chhutti milti thi, main ek din ke liye aa jaata. I think jo ek din milta hai, itni raahat milti hai, aap rejuvenate ho ke wapas jaa sakte ho kaam par. Abhi, I haven’t seen her since 6 days and I’m really missing her. (Even before the promotions, I was shooting in Delhi. Whenever I got a day off, I would come home just for a day. I think even that one day gives so much relief, you feel rejuvenated enough to return to work. Right now, I haven’t seen her in six days, and I’m really missing her).”

Ranbir's bond with Raha is evident. Alia revealed his ritual of quiet time with Raha, ensuring her presence despite their schedules. They coordinate schedules to avoid parental absence. Suggestions include family activities and documenting Raha's growth through photos, strengthening their connection.

Ranbir's transformation into a devoted father is clear, as highlighted by his sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. She noted how his eyes light up when he speaks about Raha, emphasizing his change into a gentle, hands-on parent.

Alia's practice of writing daily emails to Raha, filled with small moments and memories, has clearly inspired Ranbir. He has expressed his desire to start writing letters to his daughter as she grows, showing his eagerness to document their journey together.

While Ranbir initially felt it was too early to define the changes in himself, stating, "It’s only been four months," his actions during that time already spoke volumes. His commitment to Raha, visible in every gesture, has solidified his role as a loving and involved father.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, got married on April 14, 2022, in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai home, Vastu. The wedding was attended by their near and dear ones. Their daughter, Raha Kapoor, was born on November 6, 2022.
