One of the most iconic Bollywood films of the 90s is the Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Karan Arjun.
The film made a special place in the hearts of the audience. It was appreciated by fans as well as critics due to its amazing storyline and powerful dialogues.
SRK and Salman's chemistry was the heart of the film. The duo was praised for their brilliant performances.
However, it might surprise you to know that for director Rakesh Roshan, Salman Khan wasn't the first choice to play Karan in the film.
In fact, the filmmaker had set his eyes on Ajay Devgn, according to a report in Bollywoodlife.
The report suggests that while Ajay was keen, due to certain differences had decided to not do the film and the role eventually landed with Salman Khan.
Not just Salman Khan's role, Ajay Devgn has another deep connection with Karan Arjun. The film starred Ajay Devgn's wife Kajol opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
Meanwhile, Karan Arjun went on to be nominated for 10 Filmfare Awards and won for Best Action and Best Editing.
And while we have seen Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan share screen space several times post Karan Arjun, in films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Son of Sardar, we are yet to see SRK and Ajay on the big screen.
On the work front, Salman Khan will be next seen in Bharat which also stars Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
While rumours suggest that SRK might be doing Don 3.
