The RARE on-screen 'Sleeping Beauties and Dudes' of Television!

It is rather funny as to how we celebrate so many days which may sound preposterous to many. However, today the world celebrates a day, which I am sure would be adored by many.

We live such a busy life and when it comes to our beloved telly stars, it is even more evident. Erratic working hours and monotonous shooting schedules take a toll on one's health. Sleep, with proper rest, is pivotal.

However, today, we decided to go down the vault and nitpick some of the most adorable and endearing 'ON-SCREEN' sleeping images of actors portraying several characters. After all, the character also needs rest, doesn't it?

Let's begin with probably the most lovable one out of the lot.

It's none other than actress, Sanaya Irani aka Khushi from 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?' The playfulness and innocence of Khushi is reflected in this image too.

While we are talking about Sanaya aka Khushi, how can we miss out on Khushi's better half, Arnav (Barun Sobti)? As adorable as Khushi is, one just cannot deny how endearing Arnav looks sleeping peacefully in this image.

We shift our gears to the ultimate bahu, Hina Khan aka Akshara. The family saviour, problem solver and the go-to person for everything ultimately finds love and satisfied sleep in the arms of her husband, Naitik (Karan Mehra).

While the fans were blown away by Vivian Dsena's portrayal of RK in 'Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon', RK was always 'restless', wasn't he? Even in this image, though he is sleeping, he seems to be worried about something.

The love of RK's life, Madhubala seems absolutely relaxed, cozy and adorable sleeping with the blanket on. However, the only difference is that she is not Madhubala, but Geet from 'Geet Hui Sabse Parayi', which was one of Drashti Dhami's initial path-breaking characters.

Before he became the buffed up and macho, Arjuna in 'Mahabharat' or the calm and composed Dev in 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi', Shaheer Sheikh became a heartthrob, courtesy his character in 'Navya' as Anant. This image just portrays how much in love Anant was with Navya (Soumya Seth).

We may love her and would even love to hate her as the fierce Maya in 'Beyhadh' today, but for many, she is still the docile, adorable and lovely Kumud from 'Saraswatichandra.' While Jennifer Winget slays the various characters she portrays, Kumud takes a peaceful nap in this image.

No one, and I mean, no one could have been doing this as good as Karan Patel does. Sleeping peacefully in a bathtub with a bathrobe on and doing so like a boss is what makes Raman in 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' an outstanding on-screen personality and he is amazing.

While Raman sleeps like a boss, it is 'sabki favourite' IshiMaa (Divyanka Tripathi)who has to take all the tension, right?! Going through several turbulences and problems, IshiMaa has also suffered some accidents. And here, she finally gets some sleep, however, in a hospital.

And finally, one of those rare instances, when we would come across the usually angry and fierce, Shivaay Singh Oberoi (Nakuul Mehta) from 'Ishqbaaaz' sleeping peacefully. And what could be better than doing so on the lap of his beloved Anika (Surbhi Chandna)?

I am sure that was nostalgic and endearing! Now while you go ahead and take a quick nap after reading this one, we wish the world a 'Happy Sleep Day'.
