After a long wait and much speculations, it appears that Bollywood's 'It Couple', Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are finally ready to tie the knot! Saif's mother, Sharmila Tagore, is the one to step forward and confirm this happy news. She further established that the selected date is that of October 16th, 2012.

The much adored couple started dating in 2007 and have come quite a long way since then! After much speculation and rumors, the two are now set for a winter wedding. The low key ceremony will be held at the Pataudi ancestral home with only close family in attendance. However, like the recent trend, the two plan to throw a lavish reception in Mumbai for all their friends from the film fraternity. Some speculate that the reception might even be on the same evening as the marriage ceremony.

While this news makes numerous people happy, it brought some worry to others, particularly directors who have cast Kapoor in their upcoming projects. The most worried of the bunch appeared to be Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who will be starting work on his Ram Leela with Kareena. However, Kareena has placated him and Madhur Bhandarkar, who cast Kareena as his Heroine, that she will not be taking a break after the wedding. In fact, she plans to continue working on all her projects and through all her commitments!
