Tabu calls Ajay Devgn a 'Silent Bully': Here's why

Tabu is eagerly anticipating the release of her new film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, where she stars alongside Ajay Devgn. Their long-standing friendship, forged through numerous successful projects, is well-known in the industry. Recently, in an interview, Tabu amusingly referred to Ajay Devgn as a ‘silent bully’ while also discussing her upcoming movie.

During a conversation with News 18 Showsha, Tabu humorously cautioned against asking her about her friendship with Ajay Devgn. She joked that if she talked about it once more, Ajay might end their friendship.

The actress, who had previously described Ajay as a ‘bully’ for his protective antics, reaffirmed her stance with a twist. She said, "He’s a silent bully. People will never come to know that has any such plan up his sleeves. He has a very quiet and sweet way of ragging people. He’s quite mischievous."

Regarding her film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, Tabu shared insights about the plot and casting. The movie portrays star-crossed lovers who reunite after 22 years, with Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee M Manjrekar playing the younger versions of their characters.

Tabu emphasized the shift in casting practices over the years. She noted that it was common in the past to have age-appropriate casting, whereas now, older actors often portray younger roles on screen. She pointed out that this change is partly due to the concept of de-aging, which was not available in earlier times.

Director Neeraj Pandey, in an earlier interview, explained his restrained approach to de-aging through VFX. He mentioned that he uses de-aging only when the storyline demands it, expressing concerns that its excessive use borders on technological misuse.

Auror Mein Kahan Dum Tha is set to hit theaters on August 2, 2024, promising to bring the magic of Tabu and Ajay Devgn’s chemistry back to the big screen.
