Sushmita Sen, who made her debut in the industry in over 25 years ago has been winning the hearts of the audiences since then. Her journey as an actress has been quite interesting and exiting with some amazing performances by her. Recently, she stole the show with her immaculate acting in the web show Aarya and now the actress is gearing for yet another note-worthy project.
Sushmita Sen will portray the transgender activist Gauri Sawant in her next online series Taali. Sushmita shared the first image from the show and wrote that it was an honour to convey Sawant's narrative to the big screen. Ravi Jadhav, a Marathi filmmaker, will direct the show.

For the unversed, the Sakhi Char Chowghi Trust, an NGO that supports safe sex and offers counseling to transgender persons, was established in 2000 by activist Gauri Sawant. The six-part series will follow Sawant's journey to becoming India's first transgender mother, as well as her hardships and setbacks. Additionally, the tender mother-daughter relationship will be emphasised.
Sushmita, who has a tonne of projects in the works, anticipates finishing the show by November and then beginning filming for Ram Madhvani's Aarya's third season.
