Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, left behind a promising career and millions of loving fans as he died by suicide in suspicious circumstances in his Bandra home. The actor was in talks for a couple of films. Sushant Singh Rajput was reportedly suffering from bipolar depression and his condition worsened after October 2019. On his death anniversary, Sara Ali Khan remembered him on social media. She posted a pic from the first day of Kedarnath shoot. While he was known to be a devotee of Lord Shiva, she is also deeply religious.

Over the years, Sara Ali Khan has spoken about how generous Sushant Singh Rajput was as a co-star. She said he helped her a lot in preparing for the role of Mukku. It was also said that they dated briefly from 2018 to 2019. After his demise, news came that she had rumouredly visited Thailand with him towards the end of December 2018. Some of his other pals were there too. Fans of SSR have great respect for Sara Ali Khan. They always say that she remembered him with a lot of respect. On his birthday, she also fed kids from an NGO.

Kedarnath gave a successful debut to Sara Ali Khan. Even her performance as the passionate and rebellious Mukku was loved by one and all. The director of the film Abhishek Kapoor has also described him as a gentle soul. He also put a post saying that SSR would always be in the memories. His friend Mahesh Shetty said that people deserve to know what happened that night.
