Hours before his unexpected passing, Sunjay Kapur, the Indian industrialist, shared his condolences on social media regarding the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad on June 12.

On his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Kapur shared a heartfelt message, “Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour. 🙏 #planecrash."

Given the shocking news of his death later that day during a polo match in the United Kingdom, the timing of the post has gained attention.

Minutes after departing from Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Air India Flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner bound for London Gatwick, crashed, resulting in the deaths of over 200 people, including crew and passengers. This tragic event led to nationwide mourning and condolences from public figures, including Kapur.
