Sunjay Kapur fought the joint trauma of divorce and losing his father; throwback to Priya Sachdev's interview

Sunjay Kapur’s Tehrvi prayer meet happened today. His widow Priya Sachdev Kapur is now in Delhi with his mother, Rani Surinder Kapur and family. As we know, Priya Sachdev and Sunjay Kapur met on a flight in 2015 and slowly fell in love. In an interview with a YouTube channel, Kin and Kindness, Priya Sachdev said that when she began to date Sunjay he had just lost his father, Surinder Kapur. As we know, he was the founder of Sona Comstar in the 90s. He was a stalwart in the world of auto components sector, and Sunjay Kapur had really big shoes to fill. His father, Surinder Kapur had died in Munich and Sunjay Kapur had to fly there to bring his body.

Priya Sachdev’s family is also linked to the automobile sector. Her father Ashok Sachdev is a big car dealer. She had said, “I do help him run the family office, though and I have taken a lot of investment decisions with him.” Sona Comstar has offices may foreign countries.

The separation of Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapur was far from amicable. There were allegations of abuse and mental torture. He also had to fight for custody and visitation rights.

Priya Sachdev said that due to his much-publicized divorce, people doubted his personality. He had described her husband as endearing, honest and misunderstood. She had said, “He has been misunderstood but now he is very much respected in the industry. His father was a legend in his space, and now he is filling his shoes, which makes us all very proud. He's also had to make harsh decisions and choices, and most of them have turned out well.”

Sunjay and Priya have a son Azarias, who is quite young.
