S.S Rajamouli's father K.V Vijendra Prasad confirms working on the script of Rowdy Rathore 2

At a grand event launch of S.S Rajamouli’s RRR  Bollywood megastar Salman Khan announced ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2’, to be written by KV Vijayendra Prasad has now confirmed that he is also working on the script of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Rowdy Rathore 2’.

Confirming the same,  S.S Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad told a news portal that he was approached by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the sequel. 

The writer is reportedly aiming at completing the script soon. Prasad had also penned the script of Rowdy Rathore’s original film in Telugu titled, ‘Vikramarkudu’. 

According to the report, the sequel will only be developed in Hindi.

The report also added that Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha will remain the lead cast and both will be seen reprising their characters of Shiva and Paro from the first installment. 

However, the film will reportedly not pick up from where the first part ended and will have a new narrative. The film is expected to go on floors by the end of 2022.

 A news portal had earlier contacted the writer to confirm if he is also writing the script of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ after Salman Khan formally announced the same. 

He said, “I am not at liberty to say anything on Bajrangi Bhaijaan, everything about it will only come from Salman Bhai.”

Although filmmaker Kabir Khan, who helmed the Salman Khan-starrer, revealed that the script is not yet ready, nor has the idea been formed, fans are excited about the film.
