The star cast of Squid Game 2 on Netflix held an event at a café in Seoul, where Park Sung-Hoon apologized at length for uploading the adult parody video of the show. He said he would like to sincerely apologize for what happened, and the discomfort and concern it caused to many. Park Sung-Hoon said he had a heavy and tense heart before he came for the event. He was quoted as saying, “The biggest reason is that I am deeply worried that the hard work of our production team, staff, and countless actors might be overshadowed or harmed in any way."
Park Sung Hoon then explained the entire situation on how the explicit photo made its way onto his Instagram stories. It seems he was quickly getting ready for a schedule when he saw the ‘problematic photo in a DM’. As the show was just in its first week, Park Sung Hoon was checking on the viewers’ reactions with great diligence. It seems when he saw the explicit photo, he got shocked and knew it could be an issue. He wanted to send it to his manager. But due to an error it ended up being posted on his Instagram stories.
However, during that process, there was some sort of handling mistake or manipulation—something I still find hard to understand myself—but before I knew it, the photo ended up being posted to my story
