Squid Game 3 is coming on Netflix on June 27, 2025. It is the finale of the series. The cast has been doing interviews all over the globe before the climax. Actor Lee Byung-Hun who is known as The Frontman was on The Jimmy Fallon Show. He told Jimmy that when he first heard about the script of Squid Game, he knew it would be a cult show or a total flop. Lee Byung-Hun who has been part of some top Hollywood projects as well shed light on the mystery factor around The Frontman. It seems he did not tell his friends or family that he was the man behind the mask. When his mother found out after watching Squid Game, she yelled at him saying she was embarrassed to find out from friends.

As we know, filmmaker Hwang Dong-Hyuk said this is the finale of the series. However, he too has heard requests of Squid Game, the film. He said he has not ruled out the possibility of spin-offs featuring the lead characters. On The Jimmy Fallon Show, Lee Byung-Hun said such a spin-off could be a possibility. He said he would be very excited about doing a spin-off where people would know the past life of the mysterious Frontman. However, he did not confirm anything.

Well, there is immense potential given his tragic backstory of how he lost his wife, and his relationship with his brother. In the series, Wi Ha-joon plays the brother. He is one who is very curious to know how his brother became such a ruthless and sinister character. A movie with characters like The Frontman, The Salesman (Gong Yoo) and Wi Ha-joon’s Hwang Jun-Ho would be perfect. Everyone would agree it will be a treat to see them together.

Lee Byung-Hun said his children, son (10) and daughter (18 months) have not seen the series. But his son found out from school and asked his father why is he playing such a bad guy.
