Sonu Sood breaks silence after court issues non-bailable arrest warrant against him with a fraud case

Sonu Sood recently made headlines after a Ludhiana court issued a non-bailable warrant against him in connection with a fraud case. The order was passed by judicial magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur, directing the police to arrest the actor. On Friday morning, Sonu took to his social media handle to clear the air. He explained that he had been summoned by the court as a witness in a case unrelated to him. He further stated that the reports circulating on social media were exaggerated and misleading. The actor emphasized that he had no connection with the matter and assured that his legal team had already responded to the summons. He is scheduled to appear before the court on February 10, 2025, to clarify his stance.

In his post, Sonu asserted that he was neither a brand ambassador nor associated with the entity involved in the case. Expressing disappointment, he remarked that celebrities often become easy targets for media sensationalism. He also mentioned that strict action would be taken against those trying to drag his name into unnecessary controversies.

As per the court's directive, the officer-in-charge of Oshiwara Police Station in Andheri West, Mumbai, has been instructed to arrest Sonu Sood and present him before the court. The order stated that Sonu had been duly served with legal notices but had failed to appear. Consequently, the court decided to proceed with issuing a non-bailable warrant against him.
