Earlier, Soha, along with her husband Kunal Kemmu, visited Saif at the hospital. Their mother, legendary actress Sharmila Tagore, also visited, accompanied by Saif’s young sons, Taimur and Jeh. The family’s visit brought some comfort to fans, who have been anxiously following updates on social media.

The incident occurred in the early hours of January 16, when Saif was attacked at his Bandra residence during an attempted robbery. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, accompanied by Taimur and another individual. The actor sustained injuries, but timely medical intervention helped stabilize his condition.

Mumbai Police quickly launched an investigation and arrested a suspect a few days later. The accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, was identified as a Bangladeshi national who had illegally entered India and changed his name to Vijay Das. According to police reports, the accused intended to rob Saif’s house.

During a press conference, DCP Zone 9 Dixit Gedam shared, “He was using Vijay Das as his current name. He came to Mumbai 5–6 months ago. He stayed in Mumbai for a few days and then in the vicinity of Mumbai. The accused used to work in a housekeeping agency.” This revelation shed light on the method used by the perpetrator to access the area.

Following his arrest, the accused was presented in Bandra court and remanded to five days of police custody for further investigation. Fans and well-wishers continue to pray for Saif’s speedy recovery, while the authorities work diligently to resolve the case.
