Filmmaker and producer Nikhil Dwivedi has shared an exciting update on the special occasion of Makar Sankranti 2025. Taking to Instagram, he posted a picture of the film’s script surrounded by marigold flowers. The script, titled Nagin: An Epic Tale of Love & Sacrifice, is developed by SAFFRON Magicworks, hinting at the film’s grand scale. Captioning the post “Makar Sankranti & Finally…”, Nikhil signaled the project’s readiness to go on floors.

Nagin is set to be a thrilling trilogy exploring the lore of shape-shifting serpents, a theme deeply rooted in Indian folklore. The ambitious project has been in development for years, and Shraddha Kapoor, who leads the cast, is thrilled to bring the story to life. In a recent statement, Nikhil Dwivedi expressed his excitement, calling Nagin an “epic tale” and emphasizing its emotional depth and visual grandeur.

Shraddha Kapoor was always the first choice for the role, according to Nikhil. He believes her unique blend of girl-next-door charm and the ability to exude captivating sensuality makes her the ideal fit. Shraddha herself had expressed her joy back in 2020, sharing how inspired she was by Sridevi’s iconic performances in Nagina and Nigahen. “It’s a dream come true to portray a naagin on screen,” she had said, reflecting her enthusiasm for embracing this traditional yet powerful character.

Nikhil Dwivedi envisions Nagin as a larger-than-life cinematic experience, blending compelling storytelling with stunning visual effects. The producer revealed last year that Shraddha was eager to start filming and hinted that the project would finally begin in 2025.

Shraddha Kapoor is already riding high on the success of Stree 2, which was a massive hit. She is set to reprise her role in Stree 3, part of Maddock Films’ growing horror universe. With Nagin adding to her lineup, Shraddha continues to captivate audiences with her versatile performances.
