Shivya Pathania talks about playing Devi Parvati in &TV's Baal Shiv

Shivya Pathania, who has established a special place in the hearts of millions of fans of Indian television shows with her acting prowess, will soon be seen essaying the role of Devi Parvati in & TV's mythological show, Baal Shiv. Shivya is elated to portray one of her dream roles in Baal Shiv, which will premiere on November 23rd, 2021, at 8:00 pm on &TV and will air every Monday to Friday.

Talking about the show and her character, a delighted Shivya Pathania says, "I am a Shiv Bhakt in real life and feel extremely fortunate to be a part of the show and essay the role of Devi Parvati. The show is about Shiv's childhood, and I was excited to be part of the show as it depicts the undekhi gatha of Mahadev's Baal roop. Devi Parvati plays a pivotal part in the show as the audience will get to see how after getting married to Shiv, Devi Parvati will be seen settling in her new phase of life. Initially, she will be demanding and will have certain apprehensions, but eventually, she will understand the true nature of Kailash. It is indeed a challenging role and I hope to be able to portray it with grace."

Elaborating on her experience in playing various Goddess onscreen, Shivya says, "Essaying goddesses’ character is equally rewarding and challenging. These are strong characters and viewers have a certain mindset or imagery about them. While these are larger than life characters and that is where the challenges lie - in creating a distinct imagery which is refreshing, and the audience can resonate and relate. Every minutest of details matter and one just cannot just add their own element as it might just fall out of place. However, these characters have a grandeur and are alluring. A lot of research and hard work goes into it. One must pay a lot of attention to diction, expression, dialogues alongside managing the heavy costume, makeup and jewelry. I am one of the few blessed actors to get an opportunity to essay a variety of Goddess’ characters and it is quite fascinating. I am sure Devi Parvati’s character in Baal Shiv will stand out and will present an exciting perspective”.
