Kunal Kamra Gets Targeted By Shiv Sena; Photo Placed Outside Public Toilet

Comedian Kunal Kamra has been embroiled in controversy following his recent comments against Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. While several Shiv Sena members have reacted aggressively and expressed dissatisfaction with Kamra's comments, party members in Indore also staged a protest against the comedian recently.

According to PTI, Shiv Sena youth wing members displayed a photograph of Kunal Kamra outside a public restroom in the city on Tuesday. The demonstration took place near a public toilet in Bengali Square, where Shiv Sena members also chanted slogans against Kamra.

During a recent performance, Kunal Kamra created a parody song based on a popular Hindi film soundtrack, labeling Eknath Shinde a "traitor" for his 2022 rebellion against the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government. Using a musical twist on the song 'Bholi Si Surat', Kamra mocked Shinde, singing, "Meri nazar se tum dekho to gaddar nazar wo aaye. Haaye!"

The clip quickly gained attention online, prompting the Shiv Sena to threaten legal action. Some party members vandalized the venue where the show was recorded. Twelve party leaders were arrested but later released on bail on Monday.

Speaking on the issue, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar told ANI, “Our CM Devendra Fadnavis had responded on this issue on behalf of the government... Our CM has said that action will be taken as per the law."

Meanwhile, a police complaint has been filed against Kamra for his comments about Shinde. He has also been summoned by Mumbai police.
