BB 18’s Edin Rose talks about choosing Islam and observing Ramadan: ‘A time to cleanse my sins…’

Edin Rose’s journey in Bigg Boss 18 was filled with emotions, drama, and entertainment. Known for her bold and unapologetic nature, she made a strong impression by fearlessly speaking her mind, standing up for herself, and engaging in fiery confrontations. Her chemistry with fellow contestants, especially her close friendships, added to the excitement of the season. Although her stint on the show was short-lived, she left a lasting impact and gained a loyal fan following.

Currently, Edin is balancing her work commitments while observing Ramadan. Reflecting on her first experience of fasting, she shared, “I was born and raised in a Muslim country, where 90% of my friends shared the same faith. As a result, I experienced Ramadan from a very young age—almost as early as I can remember. I would watch my classmates fasting and found it beautiful how dedicated they were to their faith.”

Speaking about her family’s reaction when she decided to observe her first fast, she added, “My parents were very calm about it. They assumed I was fasting simply because my friends were doing it and that I was just a child. I was 13 at the time, so they didn’t give it much thought.”

While many say that Ramadan is a test of patience and self-control, Edin sees it from a religious perspective. “For me, Ramadan is more about devotion and repentance. It’s the one month of the year I truly look forward to—a time to cleanse my sins and fully devote myself to my faith, allowing me to connect spiritually on a deeper level. The only time I find fasting slightly challenging is when I have long shooting hours, from 6 AM to late at night,” she added.
