Sanya Malhotra offers a glimpse of behind the scenes from the sets of 'Kathal'

Sanya Malhotra, who recently began filming for her upcoming film 'Kathal', released a behind-the-scenes look from the set.

The 'Dangal' star shared a few behind-the-scenes photos from the sets of the film, which also stars Anant Joshi, in a series of Instagram Stories.

"#KathalonNetflix," she tagged one of the IG Stories.

The actor, who most recently featured in 'Love Hostel,' uploaded a video last week announcing her next project, 'Kathal.' She also announced her character, where she will be playing a young police officer.

Sanya returns to Netflix with 'Kathal,' following her roles in 'Ludo,' 'Pagglait,' and 'Meenakshi Sundareshwar.'

For the uninitiated, 'Kathal' is Yashowardhan Mishra's directorial debut, and he also co-wrote the film with legendary, award-winning writer Ashok Mishra. Guneet Monga, Ekta Kapoor, Achin Jain, and Shobha Kapoor are producing the film.

The plot of this female-centric dramedy revolves around a local politician whose cherished jackfruits (Kathals) go missing, and a young police officer, Mahima, played by Sanya Malhotra, is determined to solve this strange case in order to prove herself.

Producer Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment and Balaji Telefilms Ltd are behind the project.

Sikhya Entertainment CEO Monga stated that her organization seeks to create material that is distinctive, entertaining, and heartwarming. She also expressed her delight at the prospect of working with Malhotra on "Kathal."

Apart from 'Kathal', Sanya will also be seen in the Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed Malayalam film, 'The Great Indian Kitchen'.
