Ram Kapoor gets candid on Ekta Kapoor's 'unprofessional actor' remark; says, 'I will not say a word'

Fans of Ram Kapoor were surprised after Ekta Kapoor apparently shaded the actor after an interview. Kapoor in an interview had discussed the now iconic kissing scene in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. As we know, Ram (Ram Kapoor) and Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) were exceptional in the mature love story. The kissing scene was a new thing for Indian TV. Ram Kapoor had said in an interview that the kiss was Ekta Kapoor’s idea. He had told her that it could backfire but she went ahead. It seems she went away with it even though she faced criticism later on from the moral police.

Ekta Kapoor did not take lightly to it. She said unprofessional actors spread false information about her shows, and they should shut up. She said they lasted only till she was silent. The producer said she believed there was dignity in silence.

"She can say whatever she wants to, but I will not say a word. Because at the end of the day, she gave me what no one gave me."

Ekta Kapoor and Ram Kapoor have done a lot of work together. The actor has lost 55 kgs over the past 18 months in an amazing transformation. He was weighing 140 kgs during the making of Neeyat. Ram Kapoor had told Siddharth Kannan that the kissing and consummation sequence was filmed over two nights. He also said that he felt at ease as Sakshi Tanwar’s father totally trusted Ram Kapoor. He told the actor he was sure that the scene would not come across as vulgar or make people uncomfortable.
