Dutt's lawyer Satish Mane Shinde told IANS: 'We will be receiving (bail) papers (from the TADA court) only by 2.30 p.m. He will be released from the jail tomorrow (Thursday).'
According to police sources here, Dutt's lawyers have to submit the bail papers physically to the jail authorities before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
This, the sources said, might not happen, forcing the actor to spend another night in prison.
Dutt was awarded six years rigorous imprisonment by the Mumbai TADA court for illegally receiving guns from terrorists involved in the 1993 Mumbai bombings.
His fans here are getting restless. Dutt, it has been said, is eagerly looking to be a free man again following the Supreme Court ruling Monday granting him interim bail.
