Amid the continuous threats to Salman Khan, an anonymous message to Mumbai traffic control stated that the actor faces death if he doesn't pay a Rs 2 crore ransom, as per police sources.
Salman Khan has apparently got another threat on his life, with an unidentified caller asking for Rs 2 crore, as per India Today. The sender's message to Mumbai Traffic Police cautioned that Salman's life is at risk if the ransom isn't met.
After the menacing message, Worli police in Mumbai have lodged a case against an unknown person and launched a probe to trace the origin of the threat.
Just a day after Mumbai Police nabbed a 20-year-old guy from Noida regarding a threat call aimed at Salman and the late NCP leader Baba Siddique's son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, this new event unfolds.
Known as Mohammed Tayyab, alias Gurfan Khan, he was apprehended in Noida's Sector 39 on Tuesday. India Today reports a menacing call to Zeeshan Siddique's PR office in Bandra East last Friday, demanding ransom and making threats against Siddique and Khan.
After the call, a staff member at Siddique's office lodged a complaint, leading to the filing of a case at the Nirmal Nagar police station in Mumbai. Police sources mention that Tayyab, hailing from Delhi, was arrested, and a transit remand was secured to transfer him to Mumbai for additional inquiry.
Just a few days back, the Mumbai traffic police control room got a WhatsApp message from someone saying they're part of Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, asking for Rs 5 crore from Salman Khan to settle issues with the infamous gangster.
The message chillingly cautioned that if Salman didn't comply, he might meet a fate similar to his friend Baba Siddique, who was shot by the same gang.
After the initial threat, the unknown sender sent another message, saying sorry and claiming the previous text was sent by mistake with no real harm intended. Despite this, the police acted swiftly and traced the sender to Jharkhand.
A special team was dispatched to catch the person, leading to the arrest of a vegetable seller named Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin from Jamshedpur, as per PTI.
