Theatres suffered massive loss during the lockdown as they were shut down due to the coronavirus scare. Many continue to face a hard time paying their employees, and single-screen theatres are surviving under worse conditions.

Salman Khan and Disha Patani starrer Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is known to be one of the most anticipated films of 2021. The film was expected to end the theatre owners' losses, however, coronavirus had some other plans. Earlier this year, when the number of Covid-19 cases in India had dropped, superstar Salman Khan had promised to release his film Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai in theatres on Eid.

While the government has yet again shut down theatres, Salman Khan decided to go ahead with a worldwide hybrid release of Radhe - the film will release simultaneously in theatres and on the digital platform ZEE5.

Now, a recent Bollywood Hungama report quoted Salman Khan who is also the producer of the film spoke about the Indian theatrical release of the film. He assured his fans that the film will have a theatrical release once theatres are open.

Once the theatres open even after this OTT release, because there are still people who would want to watch it in theatres and some who don’t watch on OTT, we will do a release in India in theatres as well. Abroad, it is releasing. Not with the same number of prints that we usually released but it is being released abroad.

Earlier, Salman Khan had announced Radhe’s theatrical release as theatre owners and associations had requested him to exclusively release the film in theatres to boost the business of cinema.

The 55-year-old actor apologised to the theatre owners for not being able to hold a theatrical release and said, "I apologise to cinema owners who were hoping to earn profits with the release of this film. We waited as long as we could, hoping that this pandemic would end and we would be able to release the film in theatres all over the country. But that did not happen. We don’t know when things will go back to normal."

Salman’s films are known to create a new record at the box office every year, but there will be no such landmark this Eid.

The trailer of Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai had released last month. Meanwhile, the peppy song numbers have created a huge buzz around the film and fans cannot wait to see Salman Khan back as an undercover cop in Radhe.
