Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: Police Deploy Constables Outside His Residence for Security

Mumbai police have tightened security outside actor Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra residence after he was stabbed multiple times by an intruder on January 16. According to officials, two constables have been deployed in two shifts to ensure round-the-clock security. The attacker has been identified as Shariful Islam, alias Vijay Das, a 30-year-old Bangladesh national who was staying illegally in India.

The incident occurred at Saif Ali Khan’s home in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra West. “We have provided temporary police protection outside Saif Ali Khan’s residence. Two constables from the Bandra police station will be stationed there in shifts. Additionally, CCTV cameras and window grills have been installed to strengthen security,” a police official stated.

The accused, Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, reportedly entered the premises with malicious intent. Following the attack, the police acted promptly, arresting the accused. Authorities revealed that Islam had been living in India illegally, raising concerns about border security and the presence of undocumented migrants in urban areas.

The attacker was presented in court on Sunday and was remanded to five days of police custody. He is set to be produced before the court again on Friday, with the police expected to seek an extension of his remand. Investigators are continuing their probe into the case to uncover further details about the attacker’s motives and background.
