Saif Ali Khan reasons his ‘paternity’ break for 'baby #2'; Gives parenting advice explaining importance of a break!

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is about to embrace parenthood again with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan. Apart from being a critically acclaimed actor, he is also a doting father of three and now the couple will soon welcome their ‘baby #2’ and elder brother Taimur Ali Khan also seems to be excited about the same. 

The Jawaani Jaaneman actor recently graced the cover of Elle Magazine and while the actor is currently enjoying the perks of his paternity break, he will soon resume shooting post the baby’s delivery. During his interview, Saif shrugged as he reasoned about the paternity break for his children while he asserted,

Who wants to work when you have a newborn at home!

The Omkara actor also mentioned of being in a 'privileged position' to take a break due to his work.

Earlier, Saif Ali Khan took a break during the birth of his daughter Sara Ali Khan as well and said that if one does not take time to spend with kids while they are growing up, they are making a mistake.

Saif did the same, during the birth of his 4-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan.

If you don’t see your children growing up, you’re making a mistake. And I can take time off from work—it’s a privileged position. Rather than follow a 9-to-5 routine, I live like an actor. Your dharma and approach to everything are based on your career.

The 50-year-old actor also expressed his views on the concept of taking a break from work to normal everyday life.

“Self-care, rejuvenation and experiencing new things is important to feel alive. This profession can easily become all-consuming and then, rather boring. My self-care involves looking good for films, and that involves doing everything right—eating healthy, sleeping well, being happy and mentally at peace,” said Saif Ali Khan in his interview with Elle Magazine.

Saif Ali Khan marked his 50th birthday on 16 August 2020, and during a previous interview with GQ magazine, he spoke about opened up about embracing parenthood at 50 again.

On the other hand, just a few minutes ago, our cameraman spotted Kareena and Saif leaving their Bandra residence and heading towards the maternity clinic where the actress will be delivering her little bundle of joy.
