Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is on a roll, thanks to the success of his films Tanhaji and Bhoot Police. While the historical drama was the last big Bollywood hit before the blockade, his subsequent horror comedy with Arjun Kapoor, which was released on an OTT site, received a lot of attention.
In response to the film's success and the positive response he's received for his role as a Tantrik, Saif stated that there are certain scripts that you read and fall in love with because you see the potential, and that Bhoot Police was one of those films. Further, the actor stated that the film was also very personal to him.
The actor, who is kept busy by his sons Taimur Ali Khan and infant Jeh Ali Khan, also shared his thoughts on why he thinks the film is appropriate for the family. Interestingly, he compared Bhoot Police to a family film, claiming that because horror and comedy are genres best watched in groups, you could watch a film like this with your children without them being scared.
Saif sent a shout out in his statement to his co-stars and the team, saying, "I want to thank everyone associated with the film, my co-actors Arjun, Yami, and Jacqueline - Arjun especially, because we were in it together from the beginning and it was a lot of fun jamming with him on our scenes together."
Those who enjoyed this horror-comedy will be pleased to learn that a sequel is in the works. "We are very happy with the enormous traction the film has received," Saif said. We are very excited and have already begun work on a sequel, which is the most significant sign of acceptance.”
