Saif Ali Khan Attack: CCTV Captures Accused, First Image Released

Mumbai police have intensified their search for the suspect involved in attacking Bollywood superstar Saif Ali Khan. Multiple teams have been deployed to ensure swift action. Hours after the shocking incident at Saif's Mumbai residence, CCTV footage has provided a crucial lead. The image, accessed by CNN-News18, clearly shows the accused on the building's staircase at 2:33 am on January 16.

As per reports, the attacker hid inside Saif's house for hours before launching the attack. Around 2 am, the actor heard noises from his son Jeh’s room, where one of his female employees was being assaulted. Saif intervened, leading to a heated altercation. During the scuffle, both Saif and the employee sustained injuries.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, stated that Saif was admitted around 3:30 am with six sharp-object injuries, including two deep wounds. One of the injuries, dangerously close to his spine, required urgent medical attention. Thankfully, the actor is now out of danger but remains under observation in the hospital.

Following the incident, Saif Ali Khan's team issued an official statement, confirming the attack and surgery. “We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter,” the statement read, assuring that updates would be shared as the situation unfolds.

Mumbai police have strengthened their efforts, with seven specialized teams from the Crime Branch joining the investigation. Officials revealed during a press conference that the accused entered the building using the staircase. A case has been registered at Bandra Police Station, and the investigation is progressing rapidly.

While Saif’s condition has stabilized, fans and well-wishers across the country are eagerly awaiting further updates. The incident has raised concerns over security measures, especially for high-profile individuals. Authorities are hopeful of resolving the case soon with the help of the CCTV evidence.
