Saaho Review: Highly advisable- watch this film with a lot of Patience and free time

There’s no end to this drama…

saaho

Saaho narrates the story of Ashok (Prabhas) which is written and directed by Sujeeth. The plot outlines a coup between three individuals who are being tormented by the fact that they need to get their hands on the money raised by Roy Foundation but somehow the tables are turned in favour of Ashok.

The ubiquitous spectrum of action films has been revised time after time. The power-packed punches which throw the degenerates 10ft high, crashing cars and over the board action sequences, South has always offered much more than the audience has asked for. But, amid all the cringe-worthy content there are gems which are still underrated. Entertainment has tenaciously magnetised all the stupidest ideas in the name of cinematic liberty that has penetrated cinema as visual art.

Prabhas

The film vandalizes all aspects of reality and offers the references of pop-culture amidst the unknown debacle created by Sujeeth. If observed keenly you’d see those references in the film which hail from a few of the well-known Hollywood films that most of us have watched since childhood.

The never-ending drama fails to hold your attention as the climax (which is at its peak) drops into a void of bland and nonsensical action sequences. It's hilarious to see a film with such twists and turns when the plot should have been completely straightforward.

The unending conflicts between the characters constantly triggers their alter-egos throughout the film. For example,  Amritha Nair (Shraddha Kapoor) suffering from loneliness finds tranquillity with Ashok. And while she tries to protect him she also tries to kill him. Couldn't this strong woman adapt her decisions wisely?

Shraddha Kapoor

It was definitely a big-opportunity for Shraddha and she had a chance to make her mark. But, yet again she failed miserably, as the performance through the entire film is just stagnant. You can either see her trying to romance Prabhas or trying to impress the audience with her looks!

Prabhas was praised for his previous blockbuster hit Bahubali and this critically acclaimed film created a lot of noise in international theatres as well. But, who would have thought after making a mark in showbiz Prabhas would mess up his own career with a film like Saaho! The fans expected a lot from him. Although, it's disappointing to see him star in this film.

In conclusion, the makers have failed to utilize the resources as there’s no fresh and original sequence that was incorporated in the film. However, it's interesting how pop-culture has managed to penetrate the multilingual films. And, it wasn't disappointing but it was just satisfactory! It is advisable to watch this film with a lot of free time!

I knew saaho will be a disaster, when I watched the teaser itself.
Bahubali was such a huge success for Prabhas, now everyone will disown him of the success and name Bahubali as his mere luck.
He should have not signed for Saaho😯
