Not Prabhas' Spirit, Rukmini Vasanth roped in for Mani Ratnam's next

After the exit of Deepika Padukone from Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prabhas’ Spirit, there were a lot of rumours on who would be the leading lady. The names of Mrunal Thakur and Rukmini Vasanth were at the forefront. Vasanth who is from the Kannada film industry did a great job in the movie, Saptasagaaradache Ello. The love story starring Rakshit Shetty and her touched hearts. Now, reports have come that she has been signed for Mani Ratnam’s next movie. He will start work on a romantic drama with Simbu after the release of Thug Life. Fans are eager to see the pairing of Simbu and Rukmini Vasanth.

Rukmini Vasanth who is from an illustrious Army background, has earned appreciation for all her films. Her last two movies Bagheera and Ace also did well at the box office. She has studied acting in London. People were quite surprised when reports came that she was being considered for Spirit. The star’s fans had mixed reactions on the same.
