Rohit Roy and Mansi Joshi Roy's Magic Indeed Works!!

Rohit Roy and Mansi Joshi Roy’s magic indeed works! Their Production House Magic Works’ is just few months old, but with 3 short films ready for a release this month, and 2 Bollywood movies slated to release in 2008, Rohit and Mansi’s Production House is growing from strength to strength.

The Dashing Actor and Anchor turns a new leaf now, as he turns a Director; having just finished shooting for his directorial debut, ‘Rice Plate’, here is Rohit Roy sharing his experience on the same. “Rice Plate is one short film in the movie Dus Kahaaniyan, which has 10 short films in total. It was great working with Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah”, says Rohit. This is not it, as Magic Works’ will produce the film with Sanjay Gupta’s White Feather Films. “Mansi is the Executive Producer of 3 of the 10 films in the movie. Apart from Rice Plate, we have produced ‘Gubbare’, starring Nana Patekar, Anita and me, while ‘Pooran Mashi’ has Manisha Lamba and Amrita Singh in lead roles”, adds Rohit.

Talking about their forthcoming film Pankh, Rohit says, “It is a bizarre film, a commercial one, but mainly aimed for screenings at the Film Festival. It stars Bipasha Basu; the film is in the post production stage and will be ready for a 2008 release.”

“We produce Non-Fiction shows like SaReGaMaPa L’il Champs too, and plan to start with the fiction shows also”, quips the actor. Will you be part of any serial you produce? The actor quickly says, “If Mansi gives me a job, I am ready to work.”
