Roadies entered and began its 18th season recently and as always, the excitement surrounding it has been immense especially considering the fact that actor and philanthropist, Sonu Sood has taken over from Rannvijay Singha for this season.
As we know, that this particular season has a good mix of former Roadies contestants and fresh faces as well. And it seems the contestants cannot stop talking good about their new master, Sonu Sood. Recently, in a talk with ETimes TV, contestant Sohil Singh opened up on how all the contestants got inspired seeing him everyday on the sets because of his calm and composed nature. During the chat, Sohil revealed that even while hosting Roadies 18 in South Africa, the Dabangg actor was busy helping people stuck in Ukraine.
He said, "Sonu Sir has been so calm and composed. If ever he noticed something wrong happening on the sets, he would come and make us understand that the things you can achieve with love, you can never get it by being aggressive or by getting angry."
He added further, "I would like to add that each one of us on the sets, even the people from the production team has learnt something or the other from Sonu sir. To be calm and composed in every situation which I loved the most about Sonu sir because I am not one of those who likes being aggressive. I was really inspired by the way Sonu sir would handle everything."
Sohil narrated how even while doing his job as a host of Roadies 18 in South Africa, Sonu Sood made sure he continues to help people who need his assistance, "He was a living example for us there on the sets. The things he has done for others even after being in South Africa, shooting a show is commendable. We have seen him doing things for others. Once, he was not aware that we had already reached on the sets and were ready, he was also ready to shoot. He suddenly got a call and he started talking to that person assuring that everything will be fine and he will handle everything. He was assuring the person on the call, “I will look after it, don’t worry, we have sorted out everything.” Later we learnt that he was actually on the call and was working for someone who was stuck in Ukraine. He was also handling things for people in India like patients and all who needed treatment immediately. After noticing all this we were completely speechless," he concluded.
