While the entire nation has happily welcomed the SC’s decision, and Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has reacted to the same and said that the actress will cooperate and appear for the investigation.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput's family's lawyer Vikas Singh said that the Supreme Court's decision was a 'historic' one.

The apex court has asked the Mumbai police to transfer all the evidence (collected so far) to CBI. The FIR lodged against Rhea her family members, and a few others alleging they abetted his son's suicide.

The FIR alleged offenses under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 306 (abetment of suicide), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).

Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14, 2020, at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. Many conspiracy theories have surrounded the case in a period of two months.
