Ratri Ke Yatri: A thought provoking series highlighting an important topic!

MX Player's recently released 'Ratri Ke Yatri' consists of 5 different stories which gives you a new insight and highlights sensitive issues, compelling you to think for a while. The series is produced by Anil V Kumar Productions in association with Hungama Digital Media and all episodes of the show have been directed by Anil V Kumar. It consists of an ensemble cast of Sudhir Pande, Anju Mahendru, Iqbal Khan, Barkha Sengupta, Parag Tyagi, Avinash Mukherjee, Shiny Doshi, Renee Dhyani, Mansi Srivastava, Reyhna Pandit and Akashdeep Arora amongst many others. 

The entire series consists of 5 different stories where different actors are seen playing the protagonist role. It revolves around five women from the red light area and how one night completely changed their lives will form the crux of the series. However, despite being different stories, there are several common traits in each one of them. In each episode, some hard hitting truths are unravelled which will completely change their perspective towards the society and others. 

The series talks about some sensitive yet important issues which needs to be heard. It showcases some thought provoking stories where the protagonist is seen visiting the red light area for the first time but what happens next will change their mindset completely. 

The concept of the series is extremely refreshing and manages to talk about the aspect of our society which is still considered a taboo in today's age. Along with this, some great performances can be seen in the show and several prominent names from the industry are seen delivering a brilliant performance. The powerful dialogues adds on to the impact of the concept, making it even more intriguing to watch. In just 20 minutes per episode, the series manages to tell a strong yet impactful message which will compel you to think. 

Verdict: The series is a decent watch but will manage to change your perspective towards various things by the end. If you're looking for something to binge watch, this can be definitely added to your list.
