With Chum Darang and Rajat Kapoor in lead roles, this Amazon Prime Video series promises a gripping tale filled with fear, emotions, and dark secrets. The eight-episode series, directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan, is set to release on April 18.
The story opens with a young woman who has just moved to New Delhi, hoping to restart her life. She is looking for a house within her limited budget and eventually finds a room in a girls’ hostel. But things take a strange turn when she starts feeling a presence in her room. The other girls warn her, telling her to vacate the place immediately. It becomes clear that something—or someone—is haunting her space.
Rajat Kapoor appears as a mysterious character involved in dark practices, particularly targeting young women. His chilling presence in the trailer adds a layer of suspense and makes the audience curious to know what’s really happening behind closed doors.

Along with Chum and Rajat, the show stars Abhishek Chauhan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Shilpa Shukla in important roles. Abhishek, known for Kill and Cubicles, adds more weight to the cast lineup.
Talking about the show, creator Smita Singh shared, “Horror thrives on emotions and atmosphere, and with Khauf, we created a story that is both unsettling and deeply human.”
Chum Darang, who has previously acted in films like Badhaai Do and Gangubai Kathiawadi, is now ready to scare and impress audiences with her performance in Khauf.
