Tamil actress Aishwarya Rajesh recently faced criticism after her comments about Rashmika Mandanna's role in the Telugu film "Pushpa" caused a backlash. However, Aishwarya took the opportunity to clarify her statement, emphasizing that she never intended to imply that she would be better than Rashmika as Srivalli. Rashmika, in response, showed understanding and support for Aishwarya's clarification.

Rashmika took to social media to address the issue, responding to a note tweeted by Aishwarya's publicist. She expressed her understanding of Aishwarya's original intention and conveyed her love and respect for her fellow actress. Rashmika's message ended with good wishes for Aishwarya's film "Farhana."


Rashmika wrote, "Rashmika has now reacted to Aishwarya’s statement. She wrote: “Hi love.. just came across this.. the thing is - I perfectly understood what you meant and I wish there were no reasons for us to explain ourselves and as you know I only and only have love and respect for you.. and ones again all the bestest for your film Farhana love."

Aishwarya, in her note, explained that her statement had been misconstrued and clarified that she holds nothing but profound admiration for Rashmika's work. She elaborated on the context of her remarks, stating that during a recent interview, she expressed her fondness for the Telugu film industry and her willingness to take up roles that suited her preferences. Aishwarya used the character of Srivalli from "Pushpa" as an example, as she believed such roles would be suitable for her. She concluded her note by expressing her utmost respect for all her fellow actors and actresses.

In her statement, she said, “Talking about work, I was asked in a recent interview about the kind of roles I want to do in Telugu cinema. I replied that I like the Telugu film industry a lot and that I would certainly do Telugu films if I got roles that were to my liking. To cite an example, I said I liked the character of Srivalli in Pushpa a lot as I felt such characters would suit me.”

Talking about her film "Farhana," Aishwarya played the central character in a Tamil coming-of-age thriller. The story revolves around her character, who is compelled to work in a call centre due to her family's financial struggles.
