Randeep Rai on waiting for six months to be refused as the lead in 'Hero'

The entertainment industry can be a brutal place and while refusals and rejections are a part and parcel of the game but some instances sting more than ever.

Actor Randeep Rai, who became extremely popular as Sameer in Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai was all set and rolling to be a part of another show in the form of Sab TV's Hero - Gayab Mode On.

But situation changed and now Abhishek Nigam leads the show that was launched back in November 2020. Talking about the array of shows offered to him post Un Dinon and what went wrong with Hero in an interview with ETimes TV, he said, "I was offered several shows post Yeh Un Dinon..., all of them were good ones. But I had consciously taken a break after that show and went to Jhansi because I was working back to back for three years and had missed on a lot of things in life. I also went on vacations. I got a new show before lockdown, because of which I didn't take up any other show ka offer. I was even offered Bigg Boss, which I couldn't do it this year because of this show. But just two days before the shoot, as luck would have it, the makers said that I will not be a part of that show as I didn't suit the character. I felt very bad with this thing. Well, I am talking about Hero – Gayab Mode On show. Then after this jhatka, I did a music video with Ashnoor Kaur, who turned me into a social media addict with Instagram."

We hope to see Rai in another project rolling soon indeed.
