Actor Randeep Hooda was reportedly slapped with a legal notice by a Bollywood script writer Priya Sharma. She accused him and his colleagues of not delivering on their promises and even threatening her.
The Surat-based woman who is also a lyricist for films took the legal route with Hooda being served a legal notice.
According to a Zoom report, Priya, in her statement, stated that Randeep and his colleagues assured her of working with her and took scripts and songs written by her in the last 15 years. These included about 1,200 songs and 40 stories with Hooda as the central character. She further added that they kept postponing the work and now when she asked for them to return the scripts, they have been threatening her.
The artist has sent a legal notice to actor Randeep Hooda and his colleagues through her lawyer, Advocate Rajat Kalsan, seeking compensation of Rs 10 crore. She has also demanded a public apology from the actor and others.
Priya has also alleged that she shared the songs and stories with Asha Hooda, Mandeep Hooda, Ajli Hooda, Manish, Randeep’s manager Panchali Choudhary, makeup artist Renuka Pillai on email and WhatsApp.
The plaintiff reportedly contacted Hooda in 2021 through social media after which they became well acquainted and even discussed family matters. During their conversation, Priya had mentioned to Randeep's mom about the scripts she had written over the years keeping Randeep in mind.
Apparently, Randeep’s mother asked her to send it to Panchali Chakrabarty (Randeep’s manager) and Renuka Pillai (makeup artist) since their production house will come up soon.
Meanwhile, Hooda and his representatives are yet to comment on the allegations.
On the work front, Randeep Hooda was last seen in Prabhudheva's 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' starring Salman Khan and Disha Patani in lead roles. Next, he will be seen in 'Rat On A Highway' directed by Vivek Chouhan, 'Mard' directed by Sai Kabir and 'Unfair And Lovely' where he will be seen sharing the screen space with Ileana D'Cruz for the first time.
