Ravi Dubey is all set to make a big Bollywood debut as Lord Lakshman in Nitesh Tiwari's epic film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. After making a name for himself on TV and OTT, Dubey is gearing up for this ambitious project. He shared a behind-the-scenes photo with Nitesh Tiwari and Ranbir Kapoor, calling them legends and giving a glimpse into his exciting new role.
Ravi's photo shows him, Nitesh, and Ranbir, who portrays Lord Ram, in casual attire, not their film costumes. The setting includes elements from the "Ramayana" sets, such as fake grass and a blue screen, suggesting the photo was taken on the day Part 1 of the film wrapped.

Previously, talking to Connect Cine, Ravi Dubey spoke about his role and said, “Playing Lakshman is an honor and a responsibility. His devotion to his brother Ram and his values are qualities I deeply admire. This is a role I hold close to my heart."
He also shared his experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor and said, “I am playing Lakshman in the film. I finally have the permission from the makers to reveal this. I didn’t talk about it all this while because I didn’t want to give irresponsible statements and spoil Namit (Malhotra) and Nitesh sir’s plans to reveal the cast." Ravi added, “He is like the elder brother I never had." He added, “He is kind, warm, he is the most immaculate professional that I have ever met. This is my first time working alongside a megastar like Ranbir Kapoor and his kindness, empathy, silence and grace towards everyone (is impeccable)."
The recently released teaser for Ramayana: Part 1 has captivated fans. Ramayana boasts a stellar cast alongside Ranbir, Sai, and Yash. Sunny Deol will portray Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari.
Ramayana is planned as a two-part film, with the first part scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release and the second part for Diwali 2027. The initial instalment is expected to conclude with the Sita Haran episode, although this has not been officially confirmed.
